Project Title/Objectives:  Instal­la­tion of a stan­dard post and three rail fence to pro­vide a tra­di­tional feel to a large coun­try house.  Also the instal­la­tion of three stan­dard 5-bar field gates (3.6m openings)

Client: Pri­vate house­holder based in the South Cam­bridgeshire area

Descrip­tion: Stan­dard post and rail fenc­ing con­struc­tion con­sist­ing of the following:.

• Posts are 1.8m tanalised with a diam­e­ter of 125 mm x 75 mm. Posts are dri­ven into the ground 600mm to give a fin­ished height of 1.2m.
• 3 Rails (3.6m lengths) nailed onto posts.
• The field gates are stan­dard 5-bar ones with an over­all size of 3.6m– these were installed on adjustable hinges with spring latches.

Out­come: Aes­thet­i­cally pleas­ing and func­tional bound­ary fence for a period prop­erty with large grounds.
